The vast majority of eggs sold in supermarkets today are preserved eggs, not eggs in their original form. Clean eggs are eggs that have been specially treated by cleaning and drying, egg breakage detection, <\/a>food-grade ink coding<\/a>, oil spraying to preserve freshness, ultraviolet disinfection, weight grading<\/a>, and tray packaging. It removes the residual feathers, feces, and other harmful objects on the egg shell, and kills and inhibits microorganisms from invading the egg body to protect the health of the person consuming it. Eggs that have not undergone these processes have a protective film of their own when they are first laid, but this film will gradually disappear over time and eventually become less fresh; the oil film of clean eggs lasts longer than the egg’s own protective film and helps preserve them.<\/p>
